Our clinic has the ability to see appointments for a wide variety of medical issues in dogs and cats. Skin irritations, endocrine problems, ear infections, allergies, respiratory infections, and heart problems are just a few of the conditions that we evaluate on a daily basis. We also provide counseling for new pet and puppy owners. We then follow your pet through the changes in their life, and adjust to their needs of your pet accordingly. When your pet becomes a senior around the age of seven, we start recommending yearly blood work to check kidney and liver function to further assess your pet’s health. We also talk about diet changes and the care needed specifically for senior pets.
In our Bedford clinic, we can see your cats or dogs for any number of medical issues. Whether it’s allergies or skin infections, heart problems or respiratory illnesses, or any other medical issue your pet may be having, we have the knowledge and experience to get your furry loved one on the road to recovery.
If you’re new to being a pet owner, puppies can be especially overwhelming. That is why we offer new pet and puppy owner counseling. Beyond that, we keep up with your new pet throughout their life to ensure that they are the healthiest, and happiest, that they can be. That means that from the first time we meet your little one, we follow all the changes they go through. We track their health and habits and adjust our care accordingly. Around the age of seven, when your pet becomes a senior, we recommend starting yearly bloodwork to check liver and kidney functions and assess what their changing bodies need. We talk about weight management, dietary needs, and other issues relating specifically to caring for aging pets.
We also offer regular services that you would expect from your pet’s PCP. Things like regular dental care and bloodwork, annual screening for, and protection from, heartworms and parasites. Weight counseling services are available, no matter your pet’s age. And, of course, we also offer spay and neutering services. We have the most up to date treatments and medications available to treat fleas and ticks to ensure that your pet is safe and healthy. We also recommend annual vaccinations for issues like Distemper, Feline Leukemia (FELV), Parvovirus, Lyme Disease, and Rabies. Our doctors and staff are trained to handle sick visits and emergencies. If we are unable to provide the care your pet requires, and a specialist is needed, we offer referrals.
